Apple Motor Inn - Hastings

The hotel felt rundown, with dirty carpets and thin walls that made for a noisy experience. While there are family-friendly landmarks nearby, such as the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market and Splash Planet, the accommodations did not meet our expectations for comfort and cleanliness, leaving us feeling uneasy during our visit.

Budget place, comfortable beds, very friendly staff. Separate bedroom. Lovely private bathroom. Magnificent, incredible location in the fairly quiet area. Fine experience there.

You guys made my stay awesome. For a 3 star hotel everything was great, I really enjoyed to be here. Booked a room in bathroom especially around shower. Having television, a mini refrigerator and a microwave was very convenient. It had marvellous location quite close to Hawke's Bay Racecourse.

I loved the cozy setup of our room, perfect for family bonding, and the spacious balcony offered a nice view. The on-site car park was simple and convenient, and the staff were friendly. It’s located in a peaceful area, yet close to attractions like the Night Market and Splash Planet—ideal for families!

The hotel was placed in the very central location in the outskirts where it was quiet. Moreover, it's adjacent to the town centre, and splash planet and shops😀

My room was absolutely spotless thanks to the welcoming staff. The location was marvellous and pleasant, for example, Hastings Clock Tower was relatively near the hotel.

I found great value for my money, with a decent room that offered a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town center, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Breakfast selection could definitely use more coffee options.

it was like most motels but the difference was the couple who owned it- They were really welcoming and willing to share experiences. It was also straight out onto the road for wellington so the location was ideal.

As long as you don't expect 5-star - this does exactly what it says on the tin!

I recently stayed here for a business trip, and I loved how close it was to the city center-super convenient! The room was basic but included a fridge and microwave, which made it easier to manage meals. being dog-friendly was a huge plus, allowing me to bring my furry buddy along. The staff was really friendly, and that made the experience even more enjoyable!

Our stay at the hotel was okay although they charged us for two nights instead of one. This was refunded by them and I am waiting for it to appear on my bank statement. It was convenient to stay there and we were able to park outside. They gave us a carton of milk which was very acceptable.

Visiting Hastings for a major equestrian event. Motel was very close by and staff gave excellent insructions on how to find the facility.

Not enough bedding on single bed. Water could have been hotter.Rather untidy grounds - lots of washing hanging outside units!? Very noisy neighbours but they could sing.

we had a pleasant stay at the apple, where the staff were friendly and the location was perfect for accessing nearby public transport, bars, and restaurants. our room was well-equipped with tea and coffee, along with a fresh bottle of milk in the fridge. we appreciated the clear instructions for key collection and found the room size and bathroom to be quite satisfactory, meeting all of our needs during our visit.

Room needed updating, and the pool was green. 😞.

Conveinent and close to our venue

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They made our stay very comfortable by providing us with a much larger room for one night when we unexpectedly had grandchildren stay with us. The other nights they provided comfortable bedding for the children. The swimming pool was a 'godsend' for all the family! The location is great, very close to local shops and parks particularly 'Splash Planet'. We will certainly return to Apple Motor Inn if we're ever in Hastings again.
